NFORMA – Recent Enhancements & New Features (October 2nd 2026)

We have completed a substantial range of improvements across the NFORMA platform, covering staff, parents, student wellbeing, medical, attendance, communications, nMeet, PSG/Parent Connect and the mobile experience.

 

Staff Bulletin – New

  • Click here for FAQ guide
  • New Staff Bulletin feature for important daily staff communications.
  • Bulletins can be targeted to staff/admin audiences.
  • Supports school-specific and broader bulletin visibility.
  • Bulletins can be pinned so important notices remain prominent.
  • Multiple pinned bulletins can be displayed, with pinned items shown first.
  • Displays who created the bulletin and the relevant school/scope.
  • Read/unread tracking allows staff to clearly identify new bulletins.
  • Supports recurring bulletin content.
  • Designed as a prominent staff communication area rather than relying on email alone.

 

Attendance

  • Reintroduced "select" tick box for students and apply bulk update
  • New/improved Blank Attendance Roll.
  • Attendance rolls can be filtered by Home Group and Year Level.
  • PDF output available for staff use.
  • Improved attendance reporting presentation.
  • Work completed to make attendance reports more suitable for printing and operational use.
  • Digital Form accepted-student PDF reporting has also been aligned with attendance-style presentation.
  • Attendance history and emergency attendance reporting have received performance and usability improvements.


Staff Dashboard

  • Refreshed staff dashboard with a cleaner, more useful daily view.
  • Improved access to student, attendance and operational information.
  • Improved date navigation and daily snapshots.
  • Performance work to reduce unnecessary loading and database processing.
  • Better presentation of information required by staff during the school day.

 

nMeet

  • Parent nMeet bookings now support improved family visibility.
  • For normal families, when one parent makes a booking, the other linked parent can see the same
  • appointment.
  • Either linked parent can manage, cancel or rebook the shared family appointment.
  • Split-family privacy is preserved — parents in a split-family arrangement only see and manage their own booking.
  • Improved consistency between the web portal and mobile app.
  • Online and Face-to-Face meeting types are more clearly identified.
  • Meeting type included in staff/export information.
  • Improved teacher-side appointment management.
  • Teacher notes/comments against bookings have also been developed as part of the nMeet workflow.
  • Improved student identification where students have similar or identical names.

 

PSG / Parent Connect

  • Major improvements to PSG/Parent Connect meeting management.
  • Staff can manage parent appointments more effectively from the school portal.
  • Staff can book appointments on behalf of parents where required.
  • Improved handling of past/open appointment slots for administration.
  • Bulk completion of meetings available for staff workflows.
  • Audit information retained around appointment management.
  • Existing consent, signature and document workflows preserved.
  • Home Group is now displayed alongside student names to avoid confusion where students share the same name.
  • Student selectors restricted to active/current students.
  • Improved sorting and student selection.
  • Improved PSG edit-screen performance for large student cohorts.
  • Existing bookings protected when schedules or availability are updated.
  • Safer regeneration of appointment slots.
  • Online meeting availability automatically respects the school's Google Meet configuration.

 

Student Medical

  • Significant update to the Student Medical area.
  • Improved medical overview and presentation for staff.
  • Medical information available through both web and mobile workflows.
  • Improved emergency contacts, medical contacts, health conditions and medication management.
  • Medical document management improved.
  • Better visibility of important medical indicators such as severe reactions and other health alerts.
  • Improved permission handling around medical information.
  • Parent and staff medical workflows aligned more closely across the platform.

 

Emergency Medical Report – New

  • New Emergency Medical Report designed for urgent situations such as calling 000.
  • Provides key student information in a clear printable PDF.
  • Includes student identity, date of birth, age, Year Level/Home Group and student photo.
  • Includes parent/guardian contact information.
  • Includes critical medical information such as:
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Epilepsy
  • Food intolerances
  • Other health conditions
  • Medicare information
  • Private health details
  • Ambulance membership

 

Wellbeing

  • Improved Wellbeing Notes and document handling.
  • Wellbeing documents now respect the same permission model used for Wellbeing Notes.
  • Documents can be restricted according to permission level.
  • Download, rename and delete actions now enforce those permissions.
  • Existing wellbeing documents have been aligned with the updated permission model.
  • Improved staff access to wellbeing information where authorised.

 

First Aid

  • Improved First Aid workflows for staff.
  • First Aid incidents can be created and reviewed more easily.
  • Required-field validation improved.
  • First Aid history available from student medical information.
  • Improved integration between First Aid and the wider Student Medical area.
  • Work also supports parent notification/badge behaviour where enabled.

 


 

Parent & Guardian Information

  • Parent lists and search screens have been modernised.
  • Student names displayed underneath parents to make relationships clearer.
  • Last Login information added to improve school visibility of parent portal engagement.
  • Improved filtering so current parent relationships are shown correctly.
  • Past relationships are excluded from current communication areas where appropriate.
  • Split-family handling strengthened across relevant student and parent workflows.

 

Chat & Parent Communication

  • Parent/staff chat updated to use current parent relationships only.
  • Past student relationships are excluded from active chat.
  • Improved parent/student relationship validation.
  • Better handling of current versus past families.
  • Mobile chat, attachments, read status and badge behaviour have been included in the wider mobile development.

 

Digital Forms

  • Continued improvements to Digital Forms across web and mobile.
  • Better visibility of accepted/completed forms.
  • Improved accepted-student PDF reporting.
  • Improved student and parent relationship handling.
  • Digital Forms integrated more consistently into the mobile parent experience.
